Jashans
Generic thanksgiving ceremony for happy occasions such as buying a new house, graduating, before a Navjote or Wedding, on a birthday or anniversary, or an annual thanksgiving ceremony.
Prayer services to remember loved ones who have passed away. These can be done at any time but are especially performed on the following occasions:
Dasmu — 10th day after death
Masiso — 1 month after death
Chamsi — 6 months after death
Varsi — 1st year after death and subsequent annual anniversaries
45-minute online sessions teaching correct pronunciation of Kusti/Navjote Prayers and explaining their significance. Approximately 6–9 sessions are required.
Navjote / Sudreh Pooshi
Full initiation ceremony including Nahan and complete ceremony, lasting approximately 1 hour.
Weddings
Full Zoroastrian wedding ceremony.
Funeral Services
The complete cycle of Zoroastrian after-death ceremonies:
— Geh Sarnu — Final rites at the Crematorium / Burial Ground (approx. 40 minutes)
— Sarosh Nu Patru / Sarosh No Kardo — Performed after sunset on the first 3 days after death
— 3rd day: Afternoon Uthamnu / Condolence Service (approx. 1 hour)
— Dawn of 4th day: Night Uthamnu (approx. 1 hour before sunrise)
— Chahrum Ceremony — Morning of the 4th day after death
Dasmu prayers performed on the 10th day after death, lasting approximately 1 hour.
Masiso prayers performed 1 month after death to remember the departed soul.
Varsi prayers performed on the 1st year anniversary and subsequent annual death anniversaries. An Anushe Ruvan Jashan may also be performed.
Funeral Service Packages
Day 1 — After sunset: Sarosh Nu Patru / Sarosh No Kardo (approx. 1 hour)
Day 2 — After sunset: Sarosh Nu Patru / Sarosh No Kardo (approx. 1 hour)
Day 3 — 3pm to sunset: Afternoon Uthamnu (approx. 1 hour)
Day 3 — After sunset: Sarosh Nu Patru / Sarosh No Kardo (approx. 1 hour)
Day 4 — 1 hour before dawn: Night Uthamnu and Daham Yazad Jashan (approx. 1 hr 15 min)
Day 4 — After sunrise: Chahrum Prayers (approx. 1 hour)
Any day/time: Main Funeral — Geh Sarnu Ceremony (approx. 40 minutes)
Day 3 — 4pm: Afternoon Uthamnu (approx. 1 hour), immediately followed by Sarosh Nu Patru (approx. 1 hour)
Day 4 — 10am: Chahrum Prayers (approx. 1 hour)
Any day/time: Main Funeral — Geh Sarnu Ceremony (approx. 40 minutes)

Resident Priest

Ashodad / Honorarium
WZO suggests an Ashodad (honorarium) for services. Proceeds help cover the cost of employing our full-time resident priest and ensure the continuity of religious ceremonies.
